Jari Hyvarinen BE PhD MBA
Head of Design Engineering & Chief Operations Officer (COO)

Jari has over 7 years experience in the bio-engineering and medical device field, and heads ASDM's design team of engineers and scientists. Jari has a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons 1 and University Medal) from the University of Wollongong, a PhD in Biomedical Engineering, specialising in the surface coating of orthopaedic implants from UNSW and a MBA. He then worked in a number of companies in the biomedical field and joined ASDM in 2003. Jari has technical expertise with biomedical polymers, being Project Leader for Biostable Polyurethanes and Drug Eluting Stents at Aortech Biomaterials. Under Jari's leadership ASDM's design team has successfully commercialized and obtained CE marking for a Uni-compartmental Knee, Clavicle Fixation Screw, Carpal Fixation Plate, Knee Revision System and ACL screw.

Tom Milicevic
Chief Financial Officer

Tom Milicevic has over 17 years' financial management experience and has held senior finance roles with a number of ASX listed companies, including Babcock & Brown Limited, Avantogen Limited and Cochlear Limited. During this time there was a focus on a number of activities including capital markets, corporate reporting, mergers, acquisitions, business integrations, strategic planning and forecasting and IT systems implementations. Most recently Tom held the position of CFO with one of Babcock & Brown's listed investment funds Babcock & Brown Residential Land Partners Limited. His key skills in strategic development and implementation as well as financial and management reporting give ASDM great strength in this area.

Jenny Swain
National Sales Manager

Jenny has over 15 years experience in orthopaedic sales and support. Prior to moving into a sales function she spent 12 years as a formally trained and qualified Registered Nurse with practical experience in local and overseas hospitals. This included 5 years in Los Angeles Century City Hospital as orthopaedic Unit Manager. She joined J&J in 1996 at NSW Orthopaedic Territory Manager and in Feb 2000 joined Taylor Bryant now Lifehealthcare as Divisional Manager for Orthopaedic Division. Jenny has worked on a national level with orthopaedic surgeons specialising in small and large joints and has strong relationships not only domestically but internationally.

Demos Gartaganis
Production Manager

Demos has been with ASDM since 2002 and he is responsible for monitoring all manufacturing activities and leads a dedicated team of tradesmen and production employees, he is a dynamic, proactive, team spirited and performance driven professional, with a strong and extended experience in the manufacturing industry, he has been recognized for his keen ability to improve every aspect of the business, increase efficiency and develop strategic goals and bottom line objectives.

Susan Pellerano
Logistics Manager

Susan has been with ASDM since July 1998 making her the longest serving employee.  This long term exposure to our business and product range ensures our customers receive a high level of customer service.

Susan is responsible for the movement of stock, providing the link between manufacturing and the end user for our global network
